mining deeds, and more all had to have some approval from the United States government, and the land office was one of those

Company. Originally based in Salt Lake City, by 1902 company headquarters had been moved to Milford, Utah. Much closer to
the mines and operations in the Star District near the now ghost town of Shauntie. The mine was a good producer, but not a
great one. This simple letterhead reflects the "budget" printing style of the day.

brothers would build a banking empire that would be one of the largest in the state. The first letterhead dates from the earliest
days in 1870. The second from 1907.

- Fresh & Salt Meat dealers of Eureka, Utah. Joseph Wirthlin and J.R. Morgan were partners in the enterprise and were
successors to the earlier Rouse & Morgan company of the same city. This new company provided not only fresh & salt
meast, but also cured meats, sausage, hay rice and more. These samples all show transactions to the Alaska Mining Company
near Silver City a few miles south of Eureka. The samples all date from 1901 and 1902.
