The Georgia Mine in City Creek Canyon was another property in the early days. An August 1, 1873
article in the Salt Lake Herald tells of "a superior
grade of galena, and the proprietors have let a contract to sink one hundred feet". (1)
Another article later that month tells of that shaft now "being over 100 feet deep and ore growing richer as the shaft goes deeper".
