The Tycoon Mine is located about a mile from Hangtown, and was reported to be rich in Hematite
ores.(1) Little is known of this mine except that it, along with the H & R Mine,
by September of 1873, was shipping 5 tons of rich ore daily with plans to do more. (2)
No images of this mine are known.
The exact location of this mine is not yet
known.
