Brief history

The Mountain Lake mines group is one of the earliest locations in the district, but never one of the biggest. Nestled on the north-east slope of Pioneer Peak above Brighton and Dog lake, the mine, though never a great producer, did have a great view!

What remains

Two lengths of mine rail protruding from the base of the caved portal and the dump those rails are resting on are all that is left at this upper portal of the Mountain Lake properties. No structures or machinery remain.
