Getting there

From the trailhead, it is a hike just over 1.4 miles on a trail that is very clear in the beginning, but becomes a little narrower as you gain in elevation. At about 6400' in elevation the trail transitions from a south-east direction, turns to the left and heads north. After the initial dip near the water tank, it is uphill all the way to the mine. Total elevation gain on the trail is roughly 1400 feet.

What remains

No structures remain standing at this site. No evidence that there ever were structures for that matter. Only the caved portal and a small heavily overgrown dump mark the site.

The best part of getting to this mine site has nothing to do with the mine, rather it is the spectacular views of the Salt Lake Valley and the north face of lower Big Cottonwood Canyon.
