Lower Big Cottonwood Canyon
Lower Big Cottonwood Canyon is home to a number of picnic and day-use areas, rock climbing areas, two historic
power plants, the old flumeway, and of course old mining properties.
Of all the mining that was conducted
in the lower canyon area, not one structure remains, only the dumps and adits show evidence of this activity. Still, there
is plenty to do and see.
