Cottonwood Gulch is a large side canyon that divides northeasterly
from the main run of City Creek Canyon. It was a sight of very early mining as some of the Priesthood Camp Mines were located
along the high north rim, and later mining with the Treasure Box, being in the lower part of the gulch, just above where it
divides from the main canyon.
