TREASURE HOUSE RELICS Project
Spoons - Sterling Silver & Other

A collectable souvenir spoon with a mining theme is one of the things that caught me by surprise the first time I laid eyes on it.

I recognize that spoons have been collector's items for a log time, but somehow I always pictured state emblems or flags as a theme. Finding a mining scene on the handle, with the Mormon Temple on the spoon bowl was something I did not expect. Especially given the early and vocal separation of the two activities.

It was not until I came across this first spoon on a ebay auction, that I realized that mining themed items could show up anywhere on anything. Now they show up here!
